Founders Day March 29th

posted Mar 29, 2012, 2:11 PM by Isaac Salazar
On Founder’s Day this March 29th, we celebrate the anniversary of the Knights of Columbus.

As we celebrate the legacy of Father McGivney and the contributions of our brother Knights since 1882, we also prepare for an even greater future as we live out the vision of our founder.

The anniversary of the realization of Father McGivney’s dream is a cause for celebration.

Parish Priest: Father Michael McGivney and American Catholicism is the definitive biography of our founder, a post-Civil War-era priest at St. Mary’s Church in New Haven, Conn., whose cause for sainthood is under consideration by the Vatican.

During your council’s celebration of the Order’s 126th anniversary, consider reading excerpts from this book at your events, and presenting copies of the publication to your parish priests, a local library, Catholic schools, or to outstanding members of your council.
