the Development of the unborn Child Bulletin Insert:
My body now has hundreds of cells inside a protective covering called the “zona pellucida,” which begins to attach, or implant, in my mother’s womb. After I attach myself to the inside of my mother’s womb, I won’t be a “blastocyst” any more. I will be called an “embryo.” My body is making a protective hormone so that my body and my mother's body can live together, even though our bodies have different chromosomes and genes.
